Meet The Doctor
Endodontist Matthew Lawson, D.M.D., P.A.
Dr. Lawson is a local native of North Carolina who received a B.S. in Honors Chemistry from N.C. State University in Raleigh, N.C. Following a forensic federal grant from the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation, he attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Lawson then successfully completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center outside New York City. He then practiced for 3 years as a general dentist in North Charleston, South Carolina before attending the Medical College of Georgia Endodontic Residency Program in Augusta. His endodontic residency focused on the newest microsurgical techiques to treat diseases of the pulp. During specialty training, he completed his state requirements for parenteral I.V. conscious sedation. Dr. Lawson’s research at MCG has been published in the July 2008 issue of the Journal of Endodontics.
